October Update

Hey everyone! It’s the first Monday in October, which means it’s time to let you all know what’s going on with the comic!

September has positively flown by! I have been making lots of friends at my Master’s program and learning even more! It has been so rewarding to work and learn with people who are as passionate about comics as I am. You can see some of what I’ve been producing on my art blog.

That said, this program has been a lot of work! I’m usually producing somewhere between three and seven pages of finished art per week (for today’s class I had to make an entire 12-page comic!) which is a lot more than I am used to. The good thing is, for the most part I don’t have to worry much about color. The bad thing is, it still eats up time in my week.

Because of this, Alfdis and Gunnora is still on hiatus. Although I’ve finished some pages in my time here, I know I won’t be able to produce them at a rate I would feel comfortable releasing them. So I’m going to give A+G a solid break so that I can focus on my schooling.

Right now, the plan is to leave A+G on hiatus for the entire fall semester, and then update starting around December 19th. I will add items to the queue and update regularly throughout the end of December and into January, and then go on hiatus again during spring semester. If it all works out right, you’ll get a complete chapter while I’m on winter break, and then another chapter in the summer after spring semester has ended.

If this plan changes, I will let you know! On October 31st, I plan to write another update letting you all know how things are going. Even if the plan has stayed the same, I’m just going to tell you how things have been going.

I’ll remind you again, Alfdis and Gunnora isn’t finished! There’s a whole lot left in the story to get to, and I promise you that I’ll be coming back to it regularly. You might just have to put up with some longer hiatuses.

Thank you again to all of my readers. If it weren’t for you, Alfdis and Gunnora wouldn’t exist, and I would never have had this incredible opportunity at the CCS. Every single one of you means so much to me, and your support has kept me going over the years. Thank you so much!
